Building The Machine #10: No Need to Reply
In a busy world here is the gift that keeps on giving: let someone know "there is no need to reply"

On My Mind
I don’t love the period of early December towards the end of the year. People get lazy and say things like “nothing happens between now and the end of the year”. The problem is that 50% of them are right, but sometimes amazing things happen. I have some things planned for December because why not - but I don’t love the “hurry up and wait” mentality for the new year. This applies to fundraising, LPs, but also deal making and launches.
What I am Writing
No Need to Respond is a blog post I wrote back in 2019 and is relevant even more today. I was speaking with a client this past week about how you can work on relationship building with informational emails that are relevant without needing a reply. In fact, spelling out the fact that you do NOT need to reply is a gift. Try it out this week and let me know how it goes.
Tools I use
“Macs don’t get viruses” ok sure, but in the meantime, I am going to stick to using Malwarebytes which runs in the background and scans things for me. Its been a few years of use and it has served me well.
